Art Auction – NOW COMPLETED

We were very proud to include an auction of a selection of pieces all donated by Cornish based artists in the 2022 festival. Details of which are listed below.

Our specially commissioned painting, kindly donated by Henrietta Graham trained in Paris and London.

Exhibited and selected by The Royal Society of Portrait Painters, The Royal Society of Marine Artists – Winner 2021, The BP Portrait Award at the National Portrait Gallery London.

Graham has recently returned from working in Jerusalem and Palestine with the Circus and is preparing for forthcoming exhibitions in New York and London.

Commissions and projects range from the surrounding fishing industry in Cornwall to ongoing projects with Dancers from The Royal Ballet, Covent Garden and Rambert School of Ballet and contemporary Dance.

If you visit Newlyn you can see a series of reproductions of Graham’s work along the harbourside. This was a collaboration between the artist and the Newlyn Harbour Commissioners.

Sally Bassett – Harbour Lights

Sally Bassett has also kindly donated a painting for the auction at the end of the festival – Harbour Lights, Reflections, which is acrylic on canvas.

Duff Pearce – Sea, Salts and Sail 2022

Duff Pearce, printmaker has kindly donated ‘Sea, Salts and Sail 2022’, which is a linear relief Lino cut print.  Duff Pearce is a self taught printmaker, he has exhibited extensively, winning prizes for drawing and printmaking. Pearce has exhibited at the Edinburgh Festival, R.A in London, R W A Bristol and has work in collections in Europe and the USA. After moving from Dorset four years ago, he now lives in Mousehole and continues to make prints and drawings.
